About Filmivinkki

Filmivinkki is a free movie discovery service that helps you find something to watch: 1,750 hand-curated movies, a detailed guided picker, group pick, age ratings and a Kids Mode. Descriptions, moods and ratings are compiled by hand and may contain mistakes. The service is not affiliated with any film studio or streaming service. The "where to watch" and trailer links lead to external sites (JustWatch, YouTube).

What data is stored

In your own browser (never sent to our servers): language, theme, favourites, watched and watchlist, sound setting and your cookie choice.

Visitor counts: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously without cookies or personal data.

Cookies, Google Analytics and ads

Only strictly necessary features work without your consent. With your consent we enable Google Analytics 4 measurement to understand how the site is used. Ads (Google AdSense) are only enabled after separate consent, and Google may then use cookies to show ads. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. Declining does not affect how you use the service.
